The Year of Finding Balance





As an intuitive, I use Numerology to gain a more profound understanding of myself and the world around me. I also use it as a tool to navigate my circumstances and define my purpose in life. When you calculate your personal year number, you can use that information to grow and find balance in many areas of your life!

Marilyn’s Personal Year

Using my Double Digitology book, I took my birthday, 3/11, and added it to this year, which is a 7, you get a 12. One plus two means my personal year number this year is 3.

3 + 1 + 1 + 7 = 12

1 + 2 = 3

This means I will spend this year trying to find balance in my life. Sounds fun, right?

Why is it so Hard to Find Balance?

There are many reasons why you may find yourself out of balance in your life. It could be that your work is causing your home life to suffer, or your friendships are putting strain on your personal growth. Whatever the case may be, it can be hard to find balance in your life, in a way that helps you grow and rest simultaneously. 

As humans, we have a tendency to self-sabotage. We sometimes know when something isn’t the best thing for us, but we spend time and energy on those things nonetheless. It can be hard to find balance if you aren’t being honest with yourself. 

The truth is, you CAN find balance that allows you to do the things you want to do as well as for the things that you need to do, you just have to shift your focus! So, how do you find balance?

5 Ways to Find Balance in Your Life

When you set out to find balance, you must first let go of the things that you can’t control. It’s impossible to find balance if you are holding on to things that don’t belong to you. When you focus on the things that you CAN control, you can take charge of your life and find balance like never before. 

  1. Take care of yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup! Take the time that you need to rest, eat healthily, and drink water.
  2. Say No. Saying “no” to the things that will throw us off balance in our lives is a priority!
  3. Slow Down. Take time to slow down and enjoy each moment as it passes. 
  4. Set Goals. Setting goals and creating a plan to achieve them will allow you to easily ignore distractions. Using a journal helps!
  5. Meditate. Meditate daily toward your intentions, and the way to reach them will become clear.

  2. Balance is an interesting word isn’t it. We all need balance as much as possible for physical and emotional health which of course are part of each other. For me balance comes naturally from being loving and positive. Whatever. Is happening I seek the best in it. It means I rarely worry about outcomes because I seek the best in what is. Balance also comes by surrendering to Spirit. When we absolutely trust and lean into that love and return it, I find we are guided as synchronicity takes us by the hand and we follow that path with a trust and ease. It is also being in touch with ourselves and loving us which allows us to find the balance within.
    So, surrendering to the love of self and spirit, having an open and trusting heart, listening and seeing through love is a gentle way to naturally follow a balanced path for it becomes one of gratitude and joy and we instinctively create balance on many levels in our life. This has always worked for me!
