We’ve all experienced moments when things don’t work out as planned. Maybe you didn’t get the job you wanted, or a relationship didn’t work out, or a project you were working on fell through. In those moments, it can be easy to feel frustrated, disappointed, or even angry.
But what if we shifted our perspective and looked at those moments as opportunities for growth and learning? What if we trusted that there was a divine order at work, even if we couldn’t see it in the moment?
One way to cultivate this perspective is through gratitude. When we focus on what we’re grateful for, it can help us shift our attention away from what went wrong and towards what is going right. It can also help us recognize the lessons and blessings that may be hidden in the situation.
Another way to cultivate this perspective is through trust. Trusting that there is a divine order at work can help us release our need to control everything and instead surrender to the flow of life. This doesn’t mean we give up on our goals or stop taking action toward them, but it does mean we approach our goals with a sense of openness and curiosity, rather than attachment and rigidity.
In those moments when things don’t work out as planned, it can be easy to feel discouraged or defeated. But by cultivating gratitude and trust, we can shift our perspective and see those moments as opportunities for growth and learning. Who knows what blessings and surprises may be waiting for us just around the corner?
